We are very proud to announce Dr. Alisa Kauffman, owner and founder of both Geriatric House Call Dentistry, and Caring and Able has just been selected as the Chair of the 2021 CaringKind Alzheimer’s Walk!
As you know, as a Geriatric House Call Dentist, I work hard to provide the best dental care possible for my patients. This is especially true for my patients who have Alzheimer’s Disease or another dementia.
That’s why I’m so happy to partner with CaringKind on their upcoming Walk. CaringKind is The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving. They have been the leading expert in Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving for more than 40 years!
They support families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia from initial diagnosis through every stage of the Alzheimer’s journey. They do this by offering a comprehensive set of programs, like:
- A Caregiver Helpline – people can call and speak to a live person (how rare is that?). • Social Workers – one-on-one counseling helps families navigate complex issues. • Training and Education – both family and professional caregivers get expert training. • Support Groups – over 80 support groups provide hundreds of caregivers critical self-care. • Wanderer’s Safety – this program helps find people who get lost; it literally saves lives! • And so much more!
And here’s the most incredible part – all of these programs are offered free of charge.
To keep their programs free to all, CaringKind relies on the generosity of donors through events like the CaringKind Alzheimer’s Walk. As Chair, I am asking you to join me in this incredible cause.
Will you donate to my team or create a team of your own? Thank you!
